GrandCon is an annual, family friendly board gaming convention held in Grand Rapids, MI. The convention will take place September 15-17 at DeVos Place. This year, Kolossal Games will be attending the convention, meeting fans and helping celebrate the Con’s 5-year anniversary!
GrandCon welcomes all and features tabletop (board, card, and roleplaying) gaming including the creators and/or authors behind them. Attend seminars, tournaments, special charity events, come dressed as your favorite character, or get involved in open gaming from our library of over 1,100 titles! Check out different opportunities to mingle with industry celebrities and other gamers that appreciate similar gaming interests. Make sure to check out the unpublished games section in the ProtoPub area; maybe you’ll learn how to design a game or simply sneak a peek at great upcoming games in the hobby. And don’t forget the vendor area, where you can shop for arts, crafts, and games.
On Friday at 12:30 pm, Travis will be joining Daryl Andrews, Chris Kirkman, and Matt Forbeck to discuss how they got their start in the publishing world. If you are an aspiring publisher looking to break into the industry, make sure you don’t miss this panel.
GrandCon, at its soul, is a community event that raises money for local charities all while having fun. It’s an event that creates opportunities, a place to make new friends and see old friends, and a gateway to discovering a world of creative gaming.
While we will not have a booth presence at GrandCon, the Kolossal team (Travis, AJ, and Mark) will be around – meeting with designers to look at prototypes, gaming with friends (both old and new), and introducing some of our upcoming titles to the public.
