Hello and welcome to Kolossal Games.
We decided to write a blog and thought a great way to start off would be to introduce ourselves and what we do here.
We are a U.S based team founded by Travis R. Chance (formerly of Action Phase Games and Indie Boards and Cards), publishing high-quality games for everybody to enjoy. We firmly believe in an inclusive gaming community. We want to create memorable experiences for families and help friends connect by taking our passion for board games and creating innovative, diverse, accessible and inclusive games.
We also believe in giving designers and artists a space to create and shine in a welcoming and collaborative environment, and we work hard to create a direct relationship with our community.
2017 has been an excellent year for us, and we’re excited about 2018. We’ve signed some incredible designers this year. We are working on a lot of exciting titles. And we have lots of cool stuff in the pipeline for 2018 that we can’t wait to share with you all.
It all started in June 2017 when we signed our first game, Western Legends. Designed by Hervé Lemaître and illustrated by Roland MacDonald. Western Legends is due to hit Kickstarter on January 9, 2018, and we’re super proud of this one. Find out more here: Western Legends.
The last few months have been jam-packed full of awesome stuff. We hired several talented people to be a part of our family – AJ Lambeth, (Developer), Mark Burke (Community Manager), and Kira Peavley (CEO). We also have a new graphic designer, Chris Byer, starting later this month.
We purchased the back catalog of Small Box Games, allowing us to re-release games such as Omen and Neolithic to a larger audience. We have also signed SO many exciting games including Kami-Sama, Consumption, Imperius, Hunt the Ravager, Starfish Kingdom, F.L.O.W., Dirty Dragons, Papillon, Cysmic, and Cheng Ho – as well as a new title from Martin Wallace and Amanda Milne.
It’s been a great year but it isn’t over yet, and we can’t wait to show you what we get up to in the future.
Be sure to follow along with our blog to see what we get up to next!
Is that game in the bottom image Cysmic?
Yes it is!
